Are you an event management professional with proven experience of planning and delivering complex business events in the UK and across EMEA?

Have you worked in and are you comfortable operating in a highly regulated environment?

Do you have experience of providing cost effective event solutions in live, hybrid and virtual formats?

Is the challenge of navigating a large, global business within the finance sector appealing?

Our client, an investment bank with huge global presence, is looking for a collaborative events professional to manage high profile client events across EMEA.  You’ll be joining a talented, dedicated and friendly team and will have the opportunity to work across a broad range of projects.

What you’ll be doing day-to-day:

  • Planning and delivering complex and high profile (C-suite and Board Level) meetings and events
  • Managing event project cycle from concept to delivery and post event analysis, including the management of large budgets
  • Building and developing strong relationships with key internal partners and clients
  • Ensuring adherence to the firm’s policies regarding governance, compliance, audit, risk and control
  • Coaching and supervising colleagues as required

The skills you need to bring:

  • 8+ years’ event management experience, ideally working in a regulated environment
  • Ability to manage multiple, high visibility projects simultaneously
  • Extensive knowledge of the events industry in the UK and EMEA, with a strong network
  • Proven advanced client relationship skills and the ability to build and develop strong stakeholder relationships
  • Strong financial understanding, with the ability to analyse and manage budgets
  • Excellent knowledge of operational procedures and an in-depth understanding of technical event production and the broadcast environment
  • Advanced communication and presentation skills
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • High level of computer literacy, including MS office and database management
  • Degree or equivalent; experience in Financial Services helpful
  • Flexibility to travel a minimum of once per month
